Early Beginnings and Musical Passion: Craig’s musical journey began at the tender age of four during a visit to the world-famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Captivated by the Mighty Wurlitzer organ, he turned to his parents and declared, “I want to do that.” His parents nurtured this budding passion, starting with a Bontempi organ and witnessing Craig’s remarkable ability to play back any song he heard. Years of dedication, piano, and organ lessons culminated in the realization of his dream when Craig played the Tower Ballroom Wurlitzer Organ in Blackpool.
Education and Musical Expertise: Craig’s profound understanding of music theory stems from his extensive studies with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in London. His repertoire spans classical, opera, and modern pop, all performed with an acoustic flair. A devoted musical theatre fan, Craig also delights in playing beloved “songs from the shows.”
A Composer and Performer: In addition to performing, Craig is a talented composer. His journey as a creator of original music began after a transformative experience at a meditation class where his relaxing piano music deeply moved participants. Encouraged by a listener to share his gift with the world, Craig began composing his own Relaxing Piano Music. Today, his compositions enhance weddings, musicals, relaxation sessions, meditation, yoga, crafting, rap, animal healing, and even help children to sleep. Versatility and Special Performances: Craig’s versatility extends to playing Theatre/Electronic Organs for Ballroom Dancing, keeping alive his childhood dream of being part of the Organist Team at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. His talent has also led to unique opportunities, such as filming piano scenes for the popular TV show “All Creatures Great and Small,” where he served as the hand double for James Herriot Senior (actor Drew Cain). Working with the cast and crew, including Nicholas Ralph and director Brian Percival, was a memorable highlight of Craig’s career.
Recognition and Achievements: In 2022, Craig’s piano cover was featured in the social media posts of the internationally acclaimed pop group MUSE.
